Victory Ends April with a Bang

We don’t have much to discuss this week so as we bring April to a close, Victory would like to say thank you to all the customers and guest who came out this past weekend and a huge thank you for your continued support.

Folks took pictures, won prizes, received a 51-point inspection and donated to our on-going Heroes campaign sponsored by The American Red Cross. Despite the gloomy forecast, our Car Care Clinic went off without a hitch.  There was plenty of food, a couple of celebrities, local radio stations and our favorite charitable organization- The American Red Cross along with Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter (CHKD).

SAVE the date and join us on May 7^th for the Night of the Red Cross Heroes. This special night takes place at the Granby Theater 421 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA from 6pm to 9pm. You’ll be entertained by a live DJ, great food and a spectacular silent auction from the nicest spots in Hampton Roads.  Your admission of $15.00 will go right back to the Red Cross and our communities.

Calling All Heroes

  Victory is calling on local companies to become a steward of their community by getting involved with the Red Cross Hero's campaign.

As Chair of this great campaign, Victory Nissan is happy to call on local businesses to show their support for this local fundraiser.  

Service Director Ryan Hall and other Victory members will be asking for donations from $500.00 to $5,000 dollars for this worthy campaign.

Victory Nissan of Chesapeake was the first to step up with a $5,000.00 donation.  We will also be donating a portion of the proceeds from various services rendered at our Car care event on April 24th as well as the entire month of May. Our goal is to raise $87,000.00 which will all stay in our local community to help people in need.

What are the benefits to becoming a hero?

Victory Nissan Takes the Lead Helping Others

We’re proud of the work we do in the community, so proud that we are this year’s lead for the Heroes for American Red Cross Campaign.  What does that mean? It means that we are seeking sponsorships from businesses and civic organizations to donate $1000.00 to $1,500.00 to Victory on the behalf of the American Red Cross. This donation makes you a HERO.

The American Red Cross has been a hero for over 93 years, they’ve spent countless man hours helping humans overcome devastation and loss and they desperately need the help of the community. The Heroes’ for the American Red Cross Campaign is a grassroots fundraising program that kicks into full gear during the months of April and May. Nearly 100 people and organizations in each of our south Hampton Roads communities, from school kids to senior citizens, businesses and civic organizations will pledge to raise at least $1000 for the critical work of the Red Cross in our community.

Every penny raised will be used to support our local Red Cross and the many programs and services they offer. Won’t you join us?

This past Thursday on Victory for Life, our Blog Talk Radio show, we had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Rob Shapiro, Public Relations Director for the Southeastern Chapter of the American Red Cross.  Mr. Shapiro shared with us the important role Victory will play in this campaign that will help feed, cloth, provide shelter and humanitarian aid as well as military support.

You can be a part of this grassroots effort by joining us and the American Red Cross on May 7, 2010 at the Granby Theater in Norfolk for the Night of Heroes.  This special event will showcase the Heroes’ fundraising efforts on jumbo screens.  We want you there, so join us, our family, friends and our great supporters from 6 pm – 9pm.  

There will be a cover charge of $15.00 to attend with proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross or Southeastern Virginia.  Come ready for heavy hor’dourves, cash bar, silent auction, door prizes and great company.

VICTORY PARTICIPATES IN CAR CARE AWARENESS MONTH

April is National Car Care Awareness Month. Dealers across the country volunteer to conduct these events, with a portion of them returning their vehicle inspection forms to the Car Care Council for tabulation and analysis.  According to carecare.org the 2009 campaign included results from a total of 860 vehicle inspections as compared to 722 vehicles in 2008 in 12 states nationwide.

We will be conducting our event (car care clinic) on Saturday April 24^th and Sunday April 25^th. Come out Saturday between the hours of 9am to 6pm and Sunday from noon till 6pm. Bring the entire family and enjoy food, games, rides, vendors and most importantly, a thorough inspection of your vehicle.

Statistics from the latest National Car Care Month inspection campaign (conducted in April and October of 2009) continue to underscore the need for consumer education.    The potential effects on highway safety, air quality, cost of operation, vehicle performance and vehicle dependability are self-evident from these results. Victory has a big weekend planned for you our customers and guest all surrounding Consumer education. 

According to carcare.org, the 2009 failure rate was abnormally high as compared to historic years. For one reason or another, some consumers don’t have their cars properly serviced—and won’t see a technician until there’s a serious problem. Why is this? Time maybe, money or perhaps it’s a matter of trust. Whatever the case may be, Saturday and Sunday April 24^th and 25^th will be a no hustle zone available for you to bring your car in and have one of our experienced technicians check it out. We don’t care if your car is 20 years old. We want you to be car care educated and most of all protected on the road. Speaking of Victory-for-Life, on Thursday we introduced Ron Coldwell. Ron was recently promoted to Express Care Advisor. Ron has been with Victory Nissan for 3 years and is so excited in his new position. You can see him when you bring your car to our Service Department. Ron will give your car a thorough overview before taking it to the technician for service or maintenance.  He’ll be on-site during the car care event, but you don’t have to wait till then, stop by and see Ron during our regular working hours, Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 6 pm and Saturday 8 am to 3 pm.
